Search Over Local Disk
Searching files in local disk is the most common search type since this is where the majority of files are lost. To search hard disk with FSA, one should choose relevant local drive, apply a few search filters, type in keywords that missing files are deemed to contain and press Search button. File Search Assistant uses a number of helpful search filters that add to usability of the software. For instance, to find on hard disk users need minimal information on missing docs, for instance its approximate size, keywords, date the file was created or accessed, file type etc. As to the latter option, it is convenient to search for particular extensions only to cut off unnecessary files that might contain the same search words too. FSA will look only for specified extensions, thus customized search will be considerably faster.
Sometimes, users may want to look in particular folders or exclude certain folders from search procedure. This is totally possible with FSA. Just a few clicks is enough to specify destination folders, as well as folders which are to be excluded from search. In such a way searching for missing documents will become faster while search results will be more accurate.
