AKS-Labs has released v 1.2.2 of Advanced PDF Manager a Windows 98/95/XP/2000/ME/NT effective PDF search and manage tool.

Advanced PDF Manager has two key features - searching text in .pdf files and converting of found .pdf into text. 

Advanced PDF Manager has an ability to search text in .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) files, even if you have no Adobe Acrobat installed. Utility finds .pdf file by specified criterion, read it and add to your search results. 

Converting PDF files into text is another must-have function. You can convert any .pdf file that was found to plain text (.txt) file. It is handy  when you archiving your .pdf or going to use it's text in another document. Batch converting of .pdf files is available, so you can easily convert all .pdf files within your search results to .txt.

Now some more features, that don't deal with .pdf files, but can make your search time-effective.

Advanced PDF Manager has special “Preview” pane, which was designed to save you form routine job. You can search for some text in different documents and program will show you a small piece of found file with your keyword (marked as a bold text). 

When the search was done, you can generate report file with your search results. Then you can print it or send by e-mail. You can also copy or move found files and folders from your search results to another folder. 

There some other features that will guide you though the search process. You can use regular expressions (+ cats - dogs) in search query, can search pdf within .zip archives, search by date, size, search in multi-directories.
